Fabulous on a Budget

Two weeks ago, I started rummaging through my closet to find basic outfits to wear for the fall. Most of my inspiration comes from magazines, fashion blogs or store websites. It truly is a lifesaver when I'm trying to save money but look cute at the same time. The trick for me is - look at peoples outfits and find something similar in your own closet!!! SO SIMPLE RIGHT...now, the other key thing is, you have some basics that go with everything. Check out what I mean...

Most of these basics you already have, so search through your closet and get creative!

Things I Love - Right Now..

I see a few blogs from time to time that express the 3 things they love at the moment. Since I adore multiple things a day/week, I thought I would share my "Loves" at this time...

My new catch all with my new initials!

These amazing bar glasses of all the monuments in Richmond.
RBD and I got these as a wedding gift from a friend here in Richmond and we absolutely love them!

Ahhh...and of course I'm starting to love the idea of fall and my new fall nail color from Essie, Swing Velvet.

Words To Live By....

Someone very close to my heart called me this weekend to express some insecurities she was having. It takes a lot for someone to express how they feel about themselves and what their going through - so to be her sounding board meant a  lot to me. After I got off the phone with her, I realized that everyone needs "words to live by" when they wake up in the morning....so today's words are dedicated to a special someone from this weekend.....

DIY Jewlery Holder..

My friend KKW inspired me with this idea of organizing my jewelry. I've always had my necklaces hanging on this one tower, which leads to them all getting tangled or worse FORGOTTEN. It became impossible for me to find this one necklace the other day so I decided it was time to put this project to work. Check it out...

Here were my supplies:
A frame
Krazy Glue
Screen (to hang my earrings)
Cup Hooks

I took out the center part of the frame and krazy glued the screen to the inside of the frame

Then I drilled holes were I wanted to add the cup hooks to hang my necklaces

And VALA - the finished product!

The Cocktail Club That Left A MARK....

Last night our cocktail club reconvened after taking July/August off. We we're all so excited to see each other and chat about weddings, summer events and things to come, that we decided to just sit around the table and drink MAKER'S MARK and eat cheese...haha. It was such a blast to have the girls over last night and to laughing like we did. I swear, laughter and friends are a neccessity in life :)

And maybe a little Maker's

And.... We're Back

After an amazing wedding weekend and our honeymoon in Hawaii, RBD and I are finally back in Richmond and getting settled in again. So far we've come back to a hurricane, 3 leaks in the house and work (boo). The past few days we've been without power but finally got it back yesterday...hooray! After awhile, you wonder how people ever lived with electricity or TV?!

I'm not going to lie, it's a little hard coming home after two weeks of bliss and then dealing with all this. Just imagine waking up every morning to this..

The view from my lounge chair at our hotel in Maui

Then coming back to your room and having lays shaped as hearts by your bedside

Regardless, we're excited to be home with Bayley and getting back into the swing of things as a newly married couple :)

Let the Count Down Begin...

I am 4 days away from our wedding and I couldn't be more excited. Seeing everything come together after a year and a half of planning is so amazing. We can't wait to spend these next few days with our family and friends and hopefully enjoy some relaxation before we dance the night away. Until then, I'm signing off for a few weeks to relax, enjoy and fly to Hawaii for our honeymoon!

Life's a beach, RIGHT?!
