This was our first Easter in Richmond and what a blast it was. We had amazing weather and great friends to celebrate with. Easter morning I surprises RBD and Bayley with some Easter goodies.....
Then we met the Wilson's and Peat's for the Monument Easter Parade - Dogs and all!

(Dogs - Lucile, Leonard and Bayley)
The Monument Avenue Easter on Parade event is an excuse for Richmonders to stroll up and down Monument Avenue on Easter Sunday dressed in Easter bonnets, funny hats, and their finest attire. We walked by homes with all sorts of things in there yard - check it out!
This reminded me of Florida - so I had to take a picture
We also had to take some pit stops to hydrate!
KKW and her ROADIE
She gave bourbon up for lent -so it was the perfect day to welcome it back into her life :)
After a long, hot day of parading around Richmond we all headed home to enjoy the rest of the day
This past Christmas RBD got me the IPad. I absolutely love it but I tend to put it down in random places around the house, so I need something to protect it. Well, what better way to spruce up your IPad then a LILLY PULIZTER IPad cover....
Last night I ate at this great restaurant called Kuba Kuba. It reminded me of some restaurant out of the East Village in New York City - which really made me love this place more. There is always something that catches your eye, whether it be the imported foods in brightly colored packages or vibrant wall decorations. The menu includes authentic Cuban but you can order practically anything and fall in love with the flavors. This is hands down a GO TO restaurant in Richmond.
I just love the laid back feel of this place
The Cuban Sandwich
My friend ACF had this last night and she swears by it.
This past weekend KKW and her hubby Mac hosted a Masters Party which was such a blast. Mac had his "man cave" all decked out for the party - Green Blazer (Masters Jacket look-a-like), Mint Juleps and BBQ'ing galore. KKW out did herself as well with the spread of food and the amazing white wine with fruit - ahh very refreshing!
RBD and I had so much fun and can't wait for next years festivities!
The White Wine with Fruit - SO GOOD!
Inspired by the Masters - all the guys went outside to practice their swings
This weekend got me thinking about my expenses. After looking at wedding expenses coming up and hopefully buying a house next year, I realized that I need to start putting some serious money aside. Friends that know me, know that I'm a good saver but I have a tendency to shop....and sometimes it can't be tamed! Well, starting today (well yesterday really) I'm going to vow to SAVE. I'm allowing myself to purchase one clothing item a month and how ever much it is I need to match it to my savings. So, if decide to buy an $80 top it would really be $160 (since I would have to match). Hopefully, the outcome would be for me to see if that top was really worth $160 - and maybe I will opt out of buying it at all. I'm on a mission to find more ways for me to save money and will hopefully post helpful tips along the way. My first bit of savings started yesterday when RBD and I were walking into town and I saw that my salon was having a Cut-A-Thon for $25...
Well, I went in and got a cut!
I have a hair appointment tomorrow (cut and highlight - minus the cut now)
so I actually saved money since my cuts are usually $60!
I've been on a a pretty solid streak these past few nights writing Thank You notes to family and friends sending us wedding gifts. Last night got me thinking that I need to spruce up my stationary and put a little bit of color into the world and head to the stationary store to pick out something fun and fabulous!
I would love to throw a monogram in there but I might need to wait till August for that
This past Saturday I completed my first 10K and was so proud! I finished the race in 1hr and 5min (which is good considering the crowd of people in my heat). Who knows, I might be signing myself for a half marathon pretty soon...
KKW, ALY and RBD bright and early before the big race
